Dyalekt – Death By Ego

00_-_front

It's been since September of 2011 since I've released a project (Santanamation) and since November of 2010 since I've released a solo project (November Hates Me).

So, how does it now make you feel that Death By Ego is finally here?

Dyalekt - Death By Ego

Now, normally I'd go off about how dope it is and blah, blah, blah, but this time, the title is already so egotistical, I'm gonna leave that up to you.  All I'm gonna say about it is it was produced mostly by myself, along with Davey Boy, TC Crook, Tech Groove, and Leezy, and it features Rhias (Air Dubai), Mane Rok, DeeJay Tense, Script, Quse London, Luke Skyy, Benjamin Butters, Bravo One, and Zé & Zome (Diamond Boiz). As a matter of fact, here's the back:

It's free, for the most part.  I say that because it's yours at the small price of a Tweet or Facebook Share.  That's it, just Tweet it or Share it and it's yours...all of it.

Is that not good enough? I know, I should say more, but let's let it speak for itself:

Dyalekt - Tequila & Lime

Now, the rest, my friend, is up to you.

Laws – Yesterday’s Future (Mixtape)

Yesterday's Future (Front)

Been waiting patiently for this one...and it's finally here.  Justice League's very own, Laws brings you a 17 track mixtape, his own personal dedication to 1/4 of the Beatles, Paul McCartney.  The project, Yesterday's Future, has been anticipated by Laws fans for months, and it's finally out.

I'm postin' this one before I even listen to the whole thing because I've been too damn excited about it. Here's why:

"Homeland"

"Momma Miss America"

And here it finally is.  After watching those to videos, bobbin' that head of yours to both of those tracks, if you ain't excited for this mixtape yet, punch yourself.

Now that I got this posted, I can finally listen to it myself. Don't fuckin' bother me while I am, either.  You'll feel the same way once your download finishes and you hit Play.

UPDATE 5:38p:

I've listened to it...twice. My conclusion? I've finally heard a mixtape worth listening to on repeat. Yea, I know I said that about Tayyib's mixtape, but as good as I felt about it from the beginning, it lost it's flare a week or two later. Don't get me wrong, it is a dope mixtape, but it wasn't as great as I made it seem. Ehh....it happens. Can't be right all the time.

This one, though...this one is...different. Okay, okay, you don't have to take my word for it, I know how reliable that is considering that last opinion, but when was the last time I lied to you? ....exactly. Laws kills this shit.

Plus, it's always fun to listen catch a hidden track. One of my favorite tracks that Laws has been a part of, Honor, with CyHi Da Prince (another present-time favorite) is featured after the last track, Must Be Wrong, after about 15 seconds. Good surprises when you're a graphic designer, zonin', and you don't realize the mixtape ended and a bonus track started til it's all over.

But don't even take my word for it, check it for your muthafuckin' self. Yes, muthafuckin', because you NEED this mixtape. For real. You NEED it.

Tayyib Ali – Keystone State Of Mind (Mixtape)

Well, hello there, hip-hop lovers. It's been a minute, and you deserve this:

Ever hear something and you almost don't believe it's as dope as it is?  Happens to me way too often in this generation of no-fuckin'-talent ass music, so it's surreal to listen to something that's not techno-inspired hip-pop.  Still, usually after 3 tracks I was fooled, it isn't nearly as dope as I assumed, and disappointment sets in...but not this time. And here's the cannonball: the Philly born, young Tayyib Ali is only eighteen (yes, 18) years old.  Respect to the kid's parents, family, trappers, homies, teachers, peers or whoever-the-fuck that showed this kid the light.  I'm the type whose all but lost complete faith in the future generation's ability to make or appreciate hip-hop worth listening to and this is one of the only times I'm absolutely ecstatic to be proved wrong. PROVE ME WRONG, DAMN IT!

I beg sometimes...and Keystone State Of Mind finally did, it proved me wrong, and I love it! I'd pick a favorite song, but as of right now I really can't. I haven't felt this good about an entire project, front to back, since So Far Gone *queue Drake haters*. I don't care what you say, that was one of the dopest projects to come out in the last 5 years. Bet. No, I'm absolutely not comparing Tayyib to Drake or Keystone State Of Mind to So Far Gone, I'm just sayin', it's been a while. So, before you hate on that, fall back and regroup.

Damn it feels good to blog again, to post something worth posting. You all who listen and read this deserve this one. I'm still workin' on the new design, slowly but surely it's comin' together. It's just been difficult considering I'm finally gettin' some graphic work and I ain't complainin'. If you need some graphic work, scream at me. (scarletSmoke Concepts)

Credits to this find go to thissongissick.com, and the mixtape really is, goodness-fucking-gracious, it is. Dude is gonna be in Boulder on Thursday at the Fox Theater, so anyone who enjoyed the mixtape as much as I did, get on that, quick. Love to love to love ya, love ya, love ya.

Emilio Rojas in “Close to Me” (Video), “FTW” (Single), & “Life Without Shame” (Mixtape)

Emilio Rojas - Close to Me

Yes, scarletSmoke was hacked...by some kids in Saudi Arabia...for who the fuck knows why. But I'm back, and with a load of dope shit to bring you.  I'll start it off with this video (which dropped today) from Emilio Rojas. Emilio is probably my favorite up-and-coming rapper (even disregarding the fact that he's 1/2 Latino) and dude dropped his latest (and dope-as-fuck) mixtape Life Without Shame the Friday before I dropped November Hates Me (November 19th, 2010).

If you haven't already, download that fuckin' mixtape....like........NOW.

Download Mixtape (MediaFire.com)

Above I'm sure you've already or are ready to watch the video for his single off the mixtape called Close to Me, and the track was already one of my favorites before the video dropped. But, just in case you're reading this Mr. Rojas, let me just say, FTW needs a video, ASAP. Just a suggestion. And anyone who's interested in listening to FTW, here's a listen before you download, since I'm positive you gon' download this shit:

Emilio Rojas (feat. Mike Bigga) - FTW

My boo is mad that I'm buzzin', she's scared I'm movin' on /A stubborn muh'fucka, stuck wit' her just to prove her wrong.."
